About AOG

One of our early lessons was that money follows value. We are students of relationship fundraising, nerdy about direct response and direct marketing, obsessive about the 1,000 things you must do to create a growing fundraising program, and—most importantly—we are emotional and vulnerable in our pursuit of #donorlove.

John Lepp, author of Creative Deviations, is a direct response, marketing and graphic design expert with over 25 years of experience working with charities around the world to help them tell better stories and to inspire donors to give, both online and offline.  He is a respected and coveted international speaker who has traveled the world helping fundraisers be more “human” and “vulnerable” to these other amazing humans we call donors.

Jen Love is a storyteller. And not in a poetic sense. In a fumbling, arm-waving, half-sentence-speaking, let's-get-to-the-heart-and-the-feelings sense.

Write drunk, edit sober... even if you’re only drunk on emotions. Inhaling an attitude of gratitude and exhaling #donorlove.

As a kid, Lorraine Hebert was always curious and caring, traits that shaped her love for helping others. Growing up in a supportive environment with social-justice-minded parents, she learned the importance of empathy and giving back from a young age.

Lorraine's journey in the world of giving started early on, as she got involved in community projects and fundraisers during her youth. These experiences sparked her passion for making a positive impact and paved the way for her future in philanthropy.

Throughout her formative years, Lorraine's love for learning led her to study marketing and communications, setting the stage for her role in the fundraising game. With a knack for understanding people and effective communication, she set out to learn more and give back in the charity world.

Taking inspiration from her upbringing, Lorraine found an incredible home at Agents of Good, an amazing agency all about creative fundraising that really connects with people. Guided by her unwavering commitment to making a meaningful impact, she shows up at work every day – the days she isn’t paddleboarding, mountain biking, or snowboarding – to bring stories to people who share her vision.

Today, Lorraine keeps using her skills and passion to make a difference, showing that a little kindness can go a long way.

Her extensive design experiences help provide you (and us) design that is effective and gets results. She is a passionate lover of typography and has a deep rooted desire to teach others the proper use of smart quotes, em dashes and four-colour blacks. Lindsey loves colour, Twizzlers and wants to help save the world one design at a time (and so far so good!).

David Love (aka “The Godfather of Good”) has been raising money, mostly for the environment, for 50 years. His current obsession is helping environmental and social justice organizations reap the benefit of the coming legacy tsunami. After running WWF Canada’s fundraising program for 20 years from 1979 – 1999, he returned, part-time, to WWF from 2015 – 2018 to run their legacy program — a program he started in 1982. In between, he worked as a consultant, did some leadership training for WWF International and ran The Living City Foundation for the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. It is now called The Toronto and Region Conservation Foundation. David and his wife were brought up and now live at the south end of Happy Valley Forest north of Toronto. In 2012, they sold 89 acres of their property to NCC which created The Love Mountain Nature Reserve. They kept their house and 11 acres and live there still.

What makes Agents of Good stand apart from other agencies is that they insist on doing great work – even when their clients are happy with “good enough.” Their process and their commitment are rare in the world of nonprofit marketing and branding.
