This holiday season, the Agents of Good are proud to have supported 2 amazing organizations in honour of our inspiring clients. Here, we share with you the stories of why we made these gifts! <3
Story #1: Ripple Refugee Project
You remember the feeling yourself. And you also relive the feeling over and over again though your own children, your nieces and nephews (biological or honourary) and your grandchildren.
The first snowfall.
Laughing! Jumping! Dancing! Catching snowflakes on your wooly mitten, then on your tongue.
This year, the first snowfall in Toronto had a whole other story and meaning for John and I. We, and now millions of others, were mesmerized by the beautiful video captured by our dear friend and forever Special Agent Rebecca Davies. Rebecca is a part of the Ripple Refugee Project, privately sponsoring families coming to Canada to start a new life.
Rebecca’s video shows 2 Eritrean children dancing in their first snowfall. As Rebecca tells the story, the kids woke up and ran to the window, eyes wide with awe, watching their first snowfall. But, just as their nose-prints started to leave a smear on the window, they ran back downstairs. A bit puzzled, Rebecca stood in her kitchen and listened. Just a few minutes later, the kids came barreling back upstairs in a calamity of laughing, thumping boots and snowsuit sounds, having dug out the snowsuits from the bags of clothes donated by friends and neighbours.
The children charged outside and laughed, jumped and danced just the same way every child does in the first snowfall.
Story #2: Make _____________, Not War
This Giving Tuesday, War Child asked supporters: “think of something that makes you happy.” Pickles. Laughs. Noise. Murals. Pancakes. Hugs. And asked them to use that as fuel to take action with War Child. Brilliant!
Our brother from another mother, Brock Warner, Director of Community Giving and Innovation at War Child took up the challenge to Make Origami, Not War. You can watch one of his captivating videos here.

We are proud to Make #DonorLove, Not War every single day. And we are inspired by our clients and colleagues who devote passion and energy to your own charities.
This holiday season, we encouraged all our clients–and we’re also encouraging you, right now–to make something else…something just for you. Use this blog as permission to do something for yourself. What makes you happy? Now, go do that!
With gratitude and love,
Jen & John
