Ana’s story

This fall, we had the privilege of working with The Redwood in Toronto on their Gratitude Report. Like always, we asked, what was the story? We wanted a personal story for this report.

When we got Ana’s story, I read through it line by line. Moment by moment. Through the tears.

How do we share this story? How do we honour Ana and the many women like her? In the end, we decided to let her tell the story. Have a look.

I thank The Redwood for their trust and collaboration with us. When was the last time you got a Annual Report with no logo on the front cover? Ana’s story took centre stage! Dan Banko, as always did a remarkable job, helping us tell Ana’s story with creativity and sensitivity.

I hope you are as moved by Ana’s story as I was.

Agent John is a long time marketer, designer and ranter. Agent Jen calls him "authentic". Others may not be so kind. The truth is, John wears his heart on his sleeve and when provoked will wave his hands and raise his voice an octave as he voices his frustration and opinions. And a blog post may even come of it.

  • Working with Agents of Good isn’t about simply handing off a project and being handed back a campaign that doesn’t really speak your organization’s language. Working with Jen Love and John Lepp is about becoming part of their agency and them becoming part of your team – it’s collaborative, there’s room for discussion and everyone brings their expertise to the table to come up with finding unique solutions that put your donors at the centre of your fundraising campaigns. In our case, our 2012 and 2013 annual fund campaigns weren’t about being ‘bleeding edge’ in terms of using the latest digital fundraising technology or design, but rather about starting with the basic elements that were already working for our donors and executing them in a way that was fresh and more effective than they had been in the past.
